Quartzite

Quartzite sits at the hard-wearing end of our natural stone range — 135 slabs currently in stock, all metamorphosed sandstone rather than the calcite marble and limestone are built from. That difference matters at the worktop: quartzite runs around Mohs 7, so it shrugs off scratches, heat and everyday kitchen acids in a way a Mohs 3-4 marble simply can't, which is why we point customers planning a busy island or a young family's kitchen here first rather than to marble or onyx. The range spans cool greys and blues through to warmer browns, golds and whites, with pieces like Amazon River, Crystallo, Fusion Multicolor, Louise Blue and Meteor Storm giving a sense of how wide the veining and colour swing gets slab to slab. As with all our natural stone, quartzite is supplied as slabs only, sealed and fabricated to your template, with delivery across the UK. Because quartzite veining photographs less accurately than most stones, we'd always recommend seeing your actual slab before committing to a layout.
