Brown Quartzite

Fourteen slabs make up our brown quartzite range, and the spread is wider than the name suggests — Brown Macaubas's fine, sandy grain sits at one end, Infinity Brown's bolder striping in the middle, and Spiderman Brown's dense, near-black webbing at the other. Stone Wood earns its name honestly: the veining reads like timber grain rather than stone. Quartzite is a metamorphosed sandstone, genuinely harder than marble (around Mohs 7 against 3–4) and far less reactive to the acids that turn up in a working kitchen — which is why we steer customers toward this range rather than brown marble when the worktop is going to see daily use rather than occasional polish-and-admire. Two of the fourteen — Fusion Quartzite Slabs and Sequoia Brown Quartzite Slabs — come in a leathered finish as well as polished, if you want texture underfoot rather than gloss. Because the veining in this group varies more slab to slab than in most colourways, we'd rather send photos of the actual block you're buying than let a swatch set the expectation.
