Green Quartzite

Green quartzite is a small, deliberate part of our range — six slabs, each one bought because the movement in the stone earned its place, not to fill a colour swatch. Right now that's Amazon River, Green Jungle, Laguna Green, Avocatus, Green Patagonia, and the crystalline Amazonite — from the deep, water-like striations of Amazon River to Laguna Green's brighter, more uniform tone. Unlike marble, quartzite is a metamorphosed sandstone — a genuinely harder stone (around Mohs 7), which is why we point customers who want a green worktop that shrugs off a dropped knife or a hot pan straight here rather than to green marble. It takes less babying: still worth sealing, but far more forgiving of everyday kitchen acids than a calcite stone. Supplied as slabs, fabricated to your template, delivered across the UK. If you're planning an island in one of these six, ask us about seeing a full slab before you commit — quartzite veining varies more than the photos ever show.
