Natural Stone Consultancy

Source-led stone advice for projects that cannot afford the wrong decision.

Natural stone is not a catalogue purchase. It is a material decision with structural, aesthetic, logistical, and commercial consequences.

Our private consultancy is built for clients who need more than samples and sales language. We help you choose the right stone, verify it at source, manage production, and deliver it with clarity from first conversation to final crate.

We do not begin with what is available in a showroom. We begin with what your project actually needs.

What This Service Covers

A hands-on sourcing and advisory service for architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, fabricators, and private clients.

Stone selection and suitability
Quarry and factory procurement across multiple countries
Finish, movement, and visual consistency

Procurement strategy and cost efficiency
Production oversight and quality control
Shipping method, packaging, and international delivery planning

How Working From Source Changes The Outcome

Most suppliers sell from stock lists. We work from origin. From the quarry face, through the cutting facility, to the crate that lands on your site.

That means we know which quarries are consistent and which are not, which stones travel well, which finishes improve or weaken the final result, and when a beautiful material is the wrong commercial choice.

The difference is not access to better stone. It is the judgement to specify it properly.

We share that knowledge with you before you commit. Not after the stone has arrived and the invoice has been paid.

What We Do

Identify the right material.

Once the brief is clear, we match stone, finish, tone, and block character to the project. That may mean working from existing references, or reaching beyond standard trade channels.

Access quarries and production directly.

We work with quarries, cutting facilities, and long-standing production partners across Turkey, Italy, Portugal, Greece, India, Brazil, Vietnam, and other origin markets.

Advise technically, not cosmetically.

Slip resistance, finish performance, movement, porosity, sealing, slab dimensions, edge risk, and application suitability. All raised at the start, not after problems appear.

Inspect at the factory, report to you.

We assess slab quality, consistency, and surface condition, and photograph what we find. The findings go directly to you, so decisions about your material are informed, not assumed.

Manage logistics end to end.

We plan shipment method, crating, consolidation, and delivery. The destination may be a UK site, a European fabricator, or a project in the Middle East.

A Direct Route From Quarry To Project

We are not dependent on brokers, trading layers, or showroom inventory. Where appropriate, we work directly with quarry owners and factories. That gives our clients better visibility, better control, and sharper commercial judgement throughout the process.

We have sourced stone from regions with no paved roads, limited infrastructure, and restricted access. Places most suppliers will not visit, let alone buy from.

It also means accountability stays in one place. You are not passed from salesperson to agent to freight contact to fabricator with nobody taking ownership of the full chain.

Skardu to South Africa
That is how Onyx from the remote highlands of Skardu ends up as the centrepiece of a project in South Africa. Through a British company, Emperor Marble Limited.
La Crème de la Crème

Onyx

Good Onyx is rare. Consistently good Onyx is rarer still. We saw that as a challenge worth pursuing. We built end-to-end control over our Onyx supply chain — from block selection at the quarry, through cutting and inspection, to crating and shipment.

Our experts inspect blocks at the remotest quarries, hand-select every slab, and oversee each stage through to delivery. Onyx is more fragile than most stone, so it must be handled accordingly — with maximum care at every step, nothing left to chance. We hold over 1,000 m² of the finest Onyx slabs ready at any given time. It is the stone we are most particular about.

Built On Experience, Not Guesswork

Origin countries

Our team has worked across more than one million square metres of natural stone. Government buildings, residential developments, commercial interiors, hospitality projects, and landmark public spaces.

After enough projects, you stop looking at stone only as colour and veining. You start understanding consistency, failure points, finish behaviour, packaging risk, installation realities, and long-term appearance in use.

That experience helps us give clear advice early, before cost, delay, or disappointment is built into the project.

How The Process Works

Brief and review

You share the project type, reference images, drawings, quantities, timing, and priorities.

Material direction

We advise on the most suitable stones, finishes, and sourcing routes based on the brief.

Source confirmation

We identify the relevant quarry, block, slab stock, or production option and confirm viability.

Production oversight

We monitor cutting, finishing, and selection. Every slab is reviewed before dispatch.

Shipping and delivery

We arrange the appropriate packing, freight route, and final delivery plan to your site or fabricator.
This is a consultancy process with procurement capability behind it. Not a stock list with a sales call in front of it.

See It At Source

We normally work with photographs and video to confirm material selection. But if you prefer to see the stone in person, our consultancy extends to quarries, factories, and warehouses. We will arrange the visit, accompany you on site, and guide you through the options.

The destination country does not change the service. All we ask is a few days' notice so we can pinpoint what you are looking for and shortlist the right options before you arrive.

Commercial Advice Matters Too

A single slab shipped alone costs nearly as much in logistics as four slabs shipped together. The crate is the same. The customs paperwork is the same. The truck booking is the same. The only thing that changes is how much stone is inside.

We manage multiple international shipments each month. Your order can travel alongside others. Transport costs are shared. Quality control is not.

We would rather give you a clear answer than a flattering one.

Who This Is For

Architects & Specifiers

When you need material confidence, technical clarity, and sourcing discipline behind the specification.

Interior Designers

When the atmosphere matters, but so does knowing the stone will perform in the application you are designing.

Developers & Contractors

When quantity, consistency, programme, and procurement control matter as much as aesthetics.

Fabricators

When workshop planning depends on accurate slab information, not a PDF of stock photos. Real measurements, reliable lead times, direct communication.

Private Clients

When a kitchen island deserves the same discipline as a hotel lobby.

What You Can Expect

Sourcing shaped around your brief.

Not available stock. Not what happens to be in a showroom. We begin with what your project needs and find it at source.

Technical guidance from the start.

Finish behaviour, slip resistance, slab dimensions, application suitability. We raise these questions early so they do not become problems later.

Commercial honesty.

If a quantity is too small to source sensibly, we will say so. If consolidation would reduce your freight cost, we will explain how. Will we tell you if the timing doesn't work? Yes. Before it costs you.

One person throughout.

From block selection to final delivery, nothing leaves the factory without review. No handoffs between sales, logistics, and operations. The person who understands your project is the same person managing it.
Above all, you can expect clarity. Stone is too expensive, too visible, and too permanent for vague answers.

Start With The Project

Send us your drawings, quantities, references, or simply describe what you are trying to achieve. We will tell you what is possible, what is sensible, and what is worth pursuing.
