Taurus Quartzite Slabs
Nine slabs make up our black quartzite range, and the differences between them are mostly about how the light moves across the surface — Diamond Black's fine, even sparkle, Infinity Black's deep, almost uniform depth, and Mezzanotte's softer, cloudier dark grey-black. Taurus sits at the more graphic end, with visible pale veining cutting through the base. Customers after a dramatic dark worktop often start by asking for black marble, and we usually point them here instead: quartzite is around Mohs 7 against marble's 3–4, so it holds a polished black finish under daily knife work and hot pans without the etching marks a calcite-based black stone will show within months. Three of the nine — Belvedere, Belvedere White and Infinity Black — offer a leathered finish alongside polished, which mutes the shine and hides fingerprints better on a daily-use surface. Supplied as slabs only, fabricated to your template, delivered across the UK. Black stone hides veining in photos more than any other colour — if the pattern matters to your design, ask to see the actual slab.
