Marble Worktops
A marble worktop starts as a single slab. The colour and veining you see on the slab page is what ends up on the kitchen island, so the choice of slab matters more than the name of the stone.
This page lists the marble and quartzite slabs on our site. White and grey make up the largest share, followed by beige, brown, black and green, with a smaller number of gold, red, pink and blue stones.
Marble and quartzite behave differently in a kitchen. Marble is softer and reacts to acids such as lemon juice and vinegar, which can leave dull marks on a polished surface. A honed or leathered finish shows these marks less. Quartzite is a natural stone that is harder than marble and reacts less to acids. It is not the same as engineered quartz, which is a resin-bound product that we do not supply.
Each slab has its own page, with an enquiry button. Tell us the size of the kitchen and how the worktop will be used, and we will come back to you with what fits. The same person stays with the project from the first conversation to delivery.
